What is an ETF?
ETFs, also known as trackers, are funds that follow the performance of an index, commodity, bond or composition of products. Unlike some other funds, ETFs are bought and sold on a stock exchange. Would you like to learn more about ETFs? Read our ETF article for all you need to know.
Robotics
The field of robotics focuses on automation, i.e., producing and programming machines or computers than can take over jobs previously done by humans, or perform tasks that humans can’t do. Robots are programmable machines that perform physical tasks independently. Robotisation can greatly increase production and productivity, with ever more sophisticated production processes.
Robots can now perform all kinds of tasks much faster, more precisely and more reliably than humans. This is true, for example, in logistics and the auto industry, where most tasks are now done almost entirely by robots. Robots are also increasingly being used in the military, aerospace and health care. Robotisation plays an increasingly important role in the household as well. This trend is expected to increase significantly in the future.
Why invest in robotics ETFs?
Robotics ETFs are an interesting investment option for those who want to follow the development of robotics and automation. An increased number of tasks will be performed by increasingly sophisticated robots, which can greatly increase profitability and economic growth. Several business sectors are heavily involved in robotisation. One of those sectors is the chip industry. Companies like Nvidia and AMD are included in most robotic ETFs. Other companies are sectors like advanced home appliances, consumer products, industrials, healthcare and aerospace.
